This week Silvia held a seminar for the Interns at Hospital San Felipe in Tegucigalpa. Fourteen Intern Doctors and a group from the Medical Border of Honduras were in attendance. The seminar, “El Parto Humanizado” (Humanized Birth), covered various topics that the Interns really enjoyed. Some of the content included studies from the World Health Organization, emotional and physical support for women in birth, and safe and current practices according to international norms. One segment was dedicated to basic rights of laboring women.
The Interns responded very enthusiastically to the several exercises of the morning, particularly the birth scenario. Already knowledgeable of many topics covered, Dar a Luz was able to discuss various practices in more depth as well as offer different perspectives.
Amazing! Go Dar a Luz! Such important work x
